Art & Design Foundation Course
The INSPIRER HUB Art and Design Foundation Course provides students with an interest in art and design to explore the materials, methods and processes that support art and design activities, and to begin to develop some related technical skills.
The course draw upon established approaches to teaching, learning and assessment that are successfully proven to appeal to and engage students seeking practical study over a more academic study route. The course's structure provides a linked introduction to the broad context within which art and design activity sits.

Level: Beginner
Fine art & Craft Pathway
Course Brief: In the course of Fine Art pathway, students are free to make work that explores the use of colour, the image and representation (Painting), materials, process, space and the site (Sculpture) or work that deliberately incorporates or confronts an audience
Lecturer: Xie Rong (also known as Echo Morgan)
Xie Rong appropriates stereotypes of ‘Chineseness’, and tropes of Chinoiserie and femininity in order to subvert them. Utilising her own body as material. Her work explores the territory of translation: between two languages, between gesture and stillness, between her Chinese past and English present, between performance and image.
Xie Rong gained a BA in Graphic Design at Central Saint Martins and an MA in Fine Art at the Royal College of Art. Her work has been seen in the United States, United Kingdom, France, China, Sweden, Egypt, Germany, Australia and Korea.
Photography Pathway
Course Brief: In this course, the students will make, use and analyse images, engaging directly with the world around you while exploring the medium’s endless potential. You will develop a clear understanding of photography in its wider cultural, historical and professional context. Our high profile teaching team, purpose-built environment and excellent facilities will enable you to evolve own unique style and personal visual language.
Lecturer: Nick Onken is a world renowned photographer, host of NIONradio podcast, and creative entrepreneur devoted to inspiring the world to create their moments.
Nick has photographed personalities such as Justin Bieber, Tom Hanks, and Jessica Alba. He’s been featured in Fast Company, Huffington Post, and MTV. Nick has traveled to over 60 countries and 7 continents and is the author of the travel photography book, PhotoTrekking. He has photographed global campaigns for international brands such as Nike, Coca Cola and Adidas and his work has been published in magazines such as Conde Nast Traveler, Cosmopolitan, and Marie Claire. https://photographsbynickonken.com
Fashion & Textile Pathway
Course Brief: Fashion combines visual language communicated through images and structures for the body. Our fashion course is created within the cultural and social influences of a particular time. Fashion has the media to reveal, hide, extend, or define the identity of an individual or a group.
Lecturer : Louis Loizou, a senior fashion design lectures with 23 years experience in London, UK.
3-Dimensional and Space Design Pathway
Course Brief: The course will help students to explore a range of materials in the context of structure, form and surface. They will learn to use tools and machinery and acquire new making skills. The technical knowledge and understanding helps students to explore design, craft and conceptual approaches to creative idea development.
Lecturer: Forrest Radford, a London-based product designer, now he is COO and CoFounder | FixIts.
Graduated product designer from Central Saint Martins school of art and design, torn between the world of business and design, Forrest pursed the path that he believed would allow him to follow his entrepreneurial pursuits.
